Daniel S. Minnich

Daniel S. Minnich

Daniel S. Minnich, 84, of Columbia passed away on May 8, 2017. He was born in Columbia to the late John F. and Edna Shank Minnich and was a lifelong resident of this area. Earlier in Daniel's life, he was known for his barn and house paintings. Following painting he worked for Armstrong. He then embarked on his own business, D.A.D.S. Non-Soggy Subs, which stood for his family: Daniel, Arlene, Dave, and Steve. He was an active member of Life Mennonite Fellowship Church and was a founder of the ministry, G.A.P. or Growth Among People that served to enrich the lives of troubled youth.

Daniel leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Arlene Huber Minnich of Columbia; his sons, Steve, husband of Grace Minnich of Mount Joy, Dave Minnich of Lancaster; five grandchildren, Shaun, husband of Jess Minnich of Hershey, Amanda, wife of Josh Hess of Maytown, Dean Minnich of Mount Joy, Ashley, wife of Bradley Lauver of Danville, Ryan Minnich of Elizabethtown; eight great-grandchildren; his brother, David, husband of Heidi Minnich of Yakima, WA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Ruth Zimmerman, Grace Blank, and Forrey Minnich.

Services for Daniel Minnich will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Life Mennonite Fellowship Church, 732 Millwood Rd., Willow Street, PA 17584. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at River Corner Mennonite Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the kitchen fund at Life Mennonite Fellowship Church. Arrangements by the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., Columbia/Landisville.
