S. Eugene Kulp, 82, of Mount Joy, passed away at home early Sunday
morning, September 10, 2017. Born in Rapho Township, Lancaster County,
he was the son of the late Stanley G. and Dorothy Earhart Kulp. Better
known to his family and friends as Gene, he retired after 36 years of
service from Alcoa, Lancaster where he worked as a roll grinder.
Following retirement, he worked for the Manheim Auto Auction and High
Gene was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a
life member of the Amvets and a member of the V.F.W. Post 5752, Mount
Joy. A member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Mount Joy, he
enjoyed gardening, the company of cat Micky, his rescue dog, Tory and
was a supporter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and always looked forward
to its annual truck convoy.
is survived by his companion of 22 years, Nancy K. Persing; daughters,
Connie Reid; Lori wife of Andy Brill; Kathi wife of Bob Carter; nine
grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a sister Marie wife of Joseph
Funeral services will be held from the Clyde W. Kraft
Funeral Home, Inc., 247 Main St., Landisville, PA 17538 on Thursday,
September 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow with military
honors in the East Fairview Church of the Brethren Cemetery. At Gene's
request, there will be no public viewing; however, the family will
receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
