William "Bill" Tyler Markley, Sr., 57, of Wrightsville passed away on
October 10, 2017. He was born in Columbia to the late Valentine E. and
Mary Rote Markley. Bill proudly served in the United States Army and
most recently was plant operator for the Lancaster Area Sewer Authority.
He was passionate about Harley Davidson Motorcycles, going to concerts,
and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a loving husband, father, and
grandfather who adored his family. Left
behind is his wife of almost thirty years, Jackie Markley of
Wrightsville; his children, Kelly, wife of Shawn Ressel of Lancaster,
Cory, husband of Catherine Markley of Elizabethtown; his
daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Markley of Osceola Mills; two grandchildren,
Elizabeth and Landen Markley; canine companion, Vixen. In addition to
his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, William Markley, Jr. A
celebration of Bill's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday,
October 14, 2017 at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, 519 Walnut St.,
Columbia, PA 17512. The Rev. Mark Kopp will officiate. The family will
receive friends for visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. until service
