Elinore Dolly Barninger

Elinore Dolly Barninger

Elinore "Dolly" Barninger has been called home to her Lord, her loving husband Arthur N. Barninger, Sr. and her oldest son, Arthur N. Barninger, Jr. She was taken into the Lord's hands on Friday, January 5, 2018. She has joined family and friends that passed before her, including her parents, Clifford and Mabel Wilson, her sister and closest friend, Betty Hess and her brothers Ernest, Robert and James Wilson. Although we grieve, we are very lucky to have known her during her time. We were blessed to be so closely connected to her and for this we are very grateful.

Our beloved Dolly forged an almost 85-year trail of laughter, generosity, talent, and wisdom. She will be greatly missed by her 5 surviving children Constance Roye, Jeffrey Barninger, Kimberly Hammon (wife of John Hammon), David Barninger (husband of Julie Barninger) and Angela Livelsberger, her 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Dolly loved to draw and paint and she passed on her artistic talent to many of her children and grandchildren. She loved gardening and liked putting together puzzles, doing arts and crafts and going to the beach. She was a member of the Washington Boro United Methodist Church for a large portion of her life. She also enjoyed our famous Barninger Family Dinners every Sunday after church, when her husband Arthur, Pappy to his grandchildren, would cook meals for his large family.

A memorial for the celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Washington Boro United Methodist Church, 1964 Water Street, Washington Boro, PA 17582. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Dr., Lancaster, PA 17604. Arrangements by the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., Columbia/Landisville.
