Paul E. Kline

Paul E. Kline

After a lingering illness, Paul E. Kline, 77, of Columbia, PA, passed into the world of loving comfort with his savior. He was the loving husband of Carol "Toots" Newcomer Kline and they enjoyed 58 years together. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Luther D. and Emma Knight Kline.

A Hempfield High School graduate, he retired after 35 years of service from the former Raymark Industries, Manheim. Paul loved baseball and was involved in little league and midget baseball in his younger years. He loved the Phillies and the Steelers and he continued to play softball for many years.

Paul also loved traveling in his motor home with his family and friends. His favorite destination was Myrtle Beach, but his first love was the mountains in Perry County where he loved going to the family cabin. A member of the Columbia Hunting Club, his love of hunting also took him to Perry County. Even though his ill health kept him from these enjoyments, his memories sustained him through his illness.

In addition to his wife are his daughters, Ellen Leiphart and her companion, Tom Lavetan; Beth, wife of Craig Shearer and Karen Kline. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Megan Clark, Angela, wife of Cody Ecenrode and Brandon Snively. Seven great-grandchildren and brothers, Luther Kline and his companion Margaret Sargant and Robert Kline husband of Corrine also survive.

Funeral services will be held at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 519 Walnut St., Columbia, PA on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Jeffery A. Baylor, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends may view on Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Kindly omit flowers. Contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, 4600 Trindle Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011 or to St. Peter's Catholic Church, 121 S. Second St., Columbia, PA 17512 in Mr. Kline's memory. Arrangements by the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc.
