Betty Jane Seifred

Betty Jane Seifred, 94, formerly of Centerville, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Brethren Village where she had resided for the past 16 years. She was the wife of the late Alpheus Lloyd "Bud" Seifred, Jr. who preceded her in death in 1999. Born in Rowenna, PA she was the daughter of the late Howard H. and Maggie Mae Leber Knisley.

A homemaker, she will be remembered by her family as a wonderful mother and grandmother, who was a great cook, enjoyed needlework, sewing and spotting deer with her favorite son-in-law.

She is survived by her daughters, Gwen, wife of Richard "Ric" Horst; Vicki, wife of Paul Care; grandson, Eric Horst and step grandchildren, Nathan, Nicholas and Ashley Care and Wesley Stahl.

A private burial service will be held in the Henry Eberle Cemetery at the convenience of the family. If desired, contributions in Betty's memory may be made to Brethren Village, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA 17606 or to Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
